Good news report from the NHS Confederation's Primary Care Conference
Good news report from the NHS Confederation's Primary Care Conference. Mando Watson joined Matthew Taylor, the Confederation's chief executive, Michael Smith, Matthew Taylor, Dr Sy Ganesaratnam for a panel discussion.
The room, packed with GPs, and other healthcare leaders, considered real-life examples experiences and insights of leadership at 'place'. There were lots of great questions about Connecting Care for Children's model, the Child Health Hub, and what we have learnt as we developed it.
Here are our take-aways from the day:
- Build care with, not for, patients
- Start with enthusiasts and ‘infect the system’
- Stay in the room until there is a common understanding (don’t have the conversation in the car park later)
- For the greatest return, invest in children
The Confederation describes our model in a case study: (see below)
